Unlike other countries, in Japan the registration year is an answer for the question how old is the car. It is important to know that the registration year is not to be confused with the actual manufacture date. For some of the vehicles, especially privately imported ones, the difference between registration and manufacture years might be substantially different. For Japanese made cars, register and check the manufacture year in auction system. The Registration year is indicated using Japanese Year Calendar-Heisei, unlike Western Calendar the year indication should be converted.
